Little Grove Pre-School is a privately owned pre-school in the grounds of Hall Grove School. We are located in a bright and cheerful portacabin building and are fortunate to be able to separate the children by age in two classrooms. This helps the children develop their abilities in small groups, with a high adult:child ratio.
Nine out of the eleven staff hold Early Years Teaching or Childcare qualifications.
We have the use of many of the school facilities. We use the school's main hall for music and movement and indoor activities and also perform our Nativity Play on the stage of the Main Hall in which all the children take an active role.
We have a secure outdoor play area attached to our building and also use the school playing fields for our annual Sports Day and the grounds for nature walks.
All of these amenities help us in ensuring the
education of our three and four year olds. We believe this enables us to offer a special impact on their education as well as the areas of development through the Foundation Stage which we follow.
Throughout the year, we organise various outings for the children. We also arrange visits from the local community, including the Fire Brigade, Police and Ambulance Service.
